A TEC GRECO SUPPLIES FUEL SYSTEM FOR KILN BURNER TO CIMENTS CALCIA IN FRANCE

Due to rising fuel oil costs Ciments Calcia, member of Italcementi Group, decided to change their complete fuel system on the kiln burner at their plant in Couvrot, France.

In September 2012 the new petcoke system had been started up in the already prepared GRECO kiln burner and at the end of the year Ciments Calcia decided to invest in a natural gas modification kit to be implemented in their existing system. A TEC GRECO, specialist in combustion engineering, won the project.

This kit consists of a valve train for 3500Nm³/h, a fuel management system, a gas lance, a flame sensor as well as the modification kit for the burner itself. Everything is installed according to EN 746-2 including failsafe programming on the fuel and burner management system. This new update will be installed and started after a short kiln stoppage in middle of June.
