LOESCHE in the dictionary “The Best of German Engineering”
The Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e.V. (VDMA) presents, together with the Wirtschaftsfachverlag Deutsche Standards Editionen, 2,000 of the 3,100 mainly medium-sized member companies of the German Machinery and Plant Engineering industry in the dictionary “The Best of German Engineering”. Of course, LOESCHE could not be missing with a company portrait.
The book had been presented for the first time on occasion of the Hanover Fair and is now available over the counter.
According to Dr. Thomas Lindner, VDMA President, it is the objective of this book to give the industry a high-quality publicistic face. German companies are amongst the top 3 suppliers in 29 out of 32 internationally comparable trade sectors, even world market leaders in half of the sectors.
As world market leader in the field of the construction of vertical roller grinding mills, LOESCHE is also included, of course.
The Machinery and Plant Engineering is regarded as the very heart of the German economy coined by medium-sized enterprises. “The secret of the success of the supplies of the world lies in their enabler function: New machinery enables increases in productivity and the manufacturing of new and better products”, states Prof. Dr. Reimund Neugebauer, President of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft in his contribution for “The Best of German Engineering”. “This way Machinery and Plant Engineering is the motor of the German innovation system: It stimulates innovative products and processes in the producing industry. But competitive pressure continues to increase, in particular from Asia. The only way out is escaping ahead: Expansion of the technological advance in unique products. You have to be faster, better and more innovative than your competitors.”
Urbanization – Opportunities for German Machinery and Plant Engineering
The world-wide growth of the cities offers enormous opportunities to the German industry. Machinery and Plant Engineering has always been strong in the development of new technologies and embedded into a world-wide network due to its export orientation. In addition, the Trade Association VDMA has set the goal with its initiative “Blue Competence” to promote and advertise sustainable technologies.
“All of this creates an excellent starting point to become successful with innovative products and solutions in the developing and emerging countries”, Dr. Wolfram von Fritsch, Chairman of the Board of the Deutsche Messe AG, Hanover , emphasized in his contribution for “The Best of German Engineering.”
